Most Interesting Cybersecurity Conferences around the World

There is nothing more exciting for cybersecurity fans than heading to conferences, but which are the most interesting cybersecurity conferences around the world? No matter how many blogs you follow or news sources you subscribe to, nothing beats mingling with thousands of other cybersecurity enthusiasts. These events are usually where the most important industry news breaks first, and anybody that’s anybody in the world of cybersecurity is in attendance. It’s also a great way to network, make business deals, and learn from the very best.

It’s worth noting that there are hundreds of cybersecurity conferences each year, some bigger and better than others. It would be almost impossible to attend them all. To make things easier for you, we have compiled a list of the most interesting cybersecurity conferences worldwide. These include great events in the US, The UK, Thailand, and Prague. Check them out below.

Cybertech Global

The Cybertech events run throughout the year in different locations, such as Cybertech Europe, but Cybertech Global is the biggest of them all. It has taken place every year in Dubai during June, and the 2022 version is being held at the seriously impressive Hyatt Hotel. There are talks about it being held elsewhere in the future, though, so keep an eye out for announcements.

Over two days, Cybertech global sees 85,000 attendees pass through its doors. In addition, there are over 1,500 speakers, including The Head of Cybersecurity at the UAE Government, CEOs, Senior Security Professors, and many more. Cybertech Global is the biggest networking event for the cyber industry outside the United States.

IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy

It wouldn’t be a list of the most interesting cybersecurity conferences around the world without mentioning the IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy. This event has been taking place since 1980, and 2022 will be the 43rd annual meeting. It’s being held in May at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco, California.

The most important names in cybersecurity are in attendance at the IEEE event, and it has some colossal companies behind it. The two primary sponsors are Meta and Norton. What makes this particular cybersecurity conference so interesting is that it’s world-renowned for being one of the best sources of information and knowledge. Industry professionals hold speeches and workshops, and some of the topics for 2022 include designing security for the web and technology and consumer protection.

Women in Cybersecurity Conference

If you’re a woman working in cybersecurity, or a woman that has the ambition to break into the industry, this event is where you need to be. It happens over three days in March, and the 2022 event will be at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland in Ohio, USA.

It’s the biggest conference for women in cybersecurity and is designed to improve the training, attraction, and retention of women in the industry. You will rub shoulders with some of the very best brains in online security and enjoy several keynote speakers. This year’s WiCyS event hosts Jen Easterly, Director of Cybersecurity at CISA, and Allison Miller, Chief Information Officer at Optum.

Changing Landscape of Cyber Security in the Public Sector

This is one of the newest cybersecurity events in the world and the newest on our list. It was held for the first time in 2021 and returned for a second year after huge success. It takes place over just one day in London during March, so it’s not as big a commitment as some of these larger conferences.

Don’t be fooled into thinking one day means it can’t be as detailed or interesting as others. Some of the topics being covered this year include how DNS can help you prevent cyber-attacks at scale and protect the public sector from cyber attacks. Speakers include Rob Jones from The National Crime Agency and Steven Nurton from F-Secure. In addition, you will meet Chief Technology Offices, Security Directors, and many more great sources of knowledge within cybersecurity.

European Identity and Cloud Conference

The European Identity and Cloud Conference 2022 is taking place in Berlin between the 10th and 13th of May. It’s a top-rated event because of the level of companies involved, including speakers from Siemens, Booking.com, and TomTom.

There are over 250 workshop sessions, 200 speakers, and 2,000+ security experts in attendance during the event, making it one of the most interesting and exciting on our list. Some of the topics covered in the latest conference included how to avoid the risk of losing business at a time of rising security needs and how to raise your cyber supply chain resilience.

RSA Conference

The RSA Conference is one of the biggest cybersecurity events in the world. Taking place in San Francisco between June 6th and June 9th, 2022, thousands of cybersecurity professionals will travel from all over the world to attend.

It’s considered one of the most interactive cybersecurity events, including hands-on workshops, speakers, and open forums. Notable names speaking at the 2022 event include Dell, PayPal, and ESET. In addition, you will hear from some of the most experienced experts in the industry, using real case studies and examples on how to improve your cybersecurity infrastructure. The four-day event will see over 100,000 attendees sharing knowledge and experiences, making this a must-attend. If you can only get to one cybersecurity conference per year, this one should probably be at the top of your list.
